The AmpuSave AAM1000 amputation care kit provides refrigerated storage for the transport of severed digits and avulsions to improve the possibility of reattachment by a surgeon. It includes a sealed cold compress, saline solution, gauze pads, and instruction card, which are all contained in a transport pouch. The cold compress keeps tissue refrigerated in a separate compartment of the pouch for up to three hours while preventing freezing, and the instruction card allows for recording the time of injury and the injured person's name to help medical personnel. The pouch measures 8-3/8" x 7-1/2" x 1" (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) This amputation care kit is suitable for wood and metal fabrication shops, schools, ambulances, and construction sites. Refill supplies are sold separately.
